BREAKING: Trump BLASTS ‘scam’ civil fraud trial against him, says charges should be dismissed ‘immediately

Speaking outside the Manhattan courtroom after around four hours of testimony in the civil fraud case brought forth against Donald Trump, his family, and his business, the 2024 GOP frontrunner said it was a “scam.”

Trump told reporters, “it’s a scam and this is a case that should have never been brought and it’s a case that now should be dismissed.”

James is suing Trump and the Trump Organization for $250 million for “fraudulent misrepresentations” about Trump’s holdings. Trump overstated his assets by billions of dollars to get loans and insurance, according to the complaint.

Trump denies wrongdoing and calls the case a “political witch hunt.” He further claims James is prejudiced against him since she is a Democrat.

“She is a very sick person,” Trump said of James. “She is a very dishonest person.”

The trial is expected to last several weeks. If found guilty, Trump could be ordered to pay millions of dollars in damages.

Trump’s testimony

In his testimony, Trump frequently accused James and her agency of a “witch hunt” against him. He also claimed that he did not prepare his company’s financial statements or knew they were fake.

James’s attorneys showed that Trump personally prepared the financial statements and knew they were fake.

Trump’s reaction

Trump’s reaction to the trial has been defiant. He has repeatedly lashed out at James and her office on social media and in public appearances. He has also called for James to be removed from office.
